Bus Insurance

I have all of my vehicles insured with Safeco who also agreed to insure my bus but would only cover liability, they would not cover the bus itself. The annual liability coverage is only $208.
I would like to cover the bus also as long as it is reasonable, is this typical?

IMO- buy the least amount of insurance you have to to be legal.
First thing they're gonna do when you file any claim where a bus is involved is get their "legal team" on you, anyhow.
To me insurance for buses is just a piece of paper to let you legally move it on public roads.

I can appreciate that perspective.
So you just carry liability coverage also?

The only policy I've found was a commercial vehicle policy through Progressive.
I pay 600 a year for "coverage" I'll never use. I'd love to find a liability only policy.
I was denied coverage for a fender bender in a bus back in 03' . First thing USAA did was sic their legal team on me.

Try Safeco.
They may have only insured me because of my other business with them but I'm not sure.
I have never had a claim with them so I cant speak to their claims service but all of their premiums have been reasonable.

Why waste your money with more coverage?

The bus won't get much damage in 99% of incident's.

You are getting a blessing at that price per year.

I appreciate the input, I'm leaving my coverage as is.
