Buses in Ontario... any not rusted out?

Hello all, I was wondering if there were any members from around Ontario who might be able to share some sources. The wife and I have begun our search for a bus to convert. We’re looking for a shortie as that’s the available space that we have. The problem I’m running into is that what we’ve seen for sale so far... a couple of micro birds and a couple of Ford E450’s ar mostly more rust than bus. I’m in for the idea of a little bodywork, but not rebuilding the bus entirely before I convert it. Is there anyone around Ontario who knows where one might find a bus in decent shape? I was hoping not to have to look out of province or out of country, but I’m starting to wonder now.

Thanks in advance!

Gord

Nope. They're all rusted out and massively overpriced. I ended up importing. If you want advice I can walk you through the process. It's really quite easy

@Ab01ns I know this is an older thread but I'd love the information around importing a bus. Thanks!

Ab01ns please consider sharing your experience. I think the things I would be most interested in are how you insured your bus for the trip home, followed by the actual process of importing the bus and registering it in Ontario. Did you drive it with a regular G license, or do you have a B or D license? I don't think customs would care, but OPP may.
