Can anyone recommend a good fridge?

I think I will end up buying a compact fridge with a small freezer compartment. Something counter height, and at least 3 cubic feet storage. I'm needing to keep the cost under $200. Anyone know of a 120v AC model that is energy star rated and has good reliability?

I have considered doing the chest freezer hack, but decided that I want a seperate freezer (need ice packs for my tired old back after a day of canoeing) and I want a front-mounted door since I can't spare the countertop space in my tiny kitchen.

We've had Haier and Avanti (same outfit I think). Currently we have 2 Haier refrigerators ( a 3.1 cf and a 4.2 cf) and 1 Avanti freezer (4.2 cf). You can generally find the refrigerators with a seperate freezer at Lowes and Home Depot. The tiny freezer compartment inside the refrigerators suck! They barely freeze ice. They are there just to make the refrigerator cold. Either get the 2 door units or buy a seperate freezer and refrigerator.

Thanks for the tip Lorna - I'll look for a two-door model and see if I can find one that is affordable and energy efficient.

The same unit was posted on the Roadfood Restaurant Professionals forum. As far as I know, none of them have one. It was in a thread on refrigeration units that Health Departments would allow.
