Cdl, change title

I bought a short bus and I don’t know if it needs a cdl, and if it does I was wondering if the seats are removed does it suddenly not need a cdl anymore or do I need to get the title switched over to a truck title. Not really interested in getting it changed to an rv title. I’m in North Dakota and I talked to my local dmv and they told me to call the capital and I did and I just got transferred like 5 times and then to a dead end voicemail, and also tried calling my local police department and got transferred to a voicemail and I’m not sure what to do.

In ND you are good to go on your regular license for any RV, any weight.

If it is still a bus you are still good, any weight as long as you are not driving for commercial purposes.

Might need to drop the seating total to 15 (14?) also.
