You were the one that brought up over loading and clasps failing and spilling tools all over.
You can't respond to my question of "what do you THINK" because I never said it.
I didn't ask if you see what I see, I just asked"what do you see?"
The link to the HF tool kit had nothing to do with the rest of the post about the Craftsman tool box.
Sorry? Haven't smoked anything in 20.
I saw something different?
Regardless of the paint on a tool box it is still expected to work and last.
THAT WAS MY OBSEVATION of what do you see wrong?
In my opinion which isn't wanted is what could I do better?
If I was in a bussiness to sell my product?

20 what, minutes?
Again, I never asked what was wrong. I was trying to ask if anyone else saw the school bus shape in the box. It's all good.

Sorry? 20-years.
I just saw a tool box?
One powder coated yellow with blacked out flashers in the corners would Make a cool basic SKOOLIE tool box.
Just my opinion?

I powder coat. Paint is a dirty word in our business. Those boxes new run $35 empty. I used to manage a crew in a direct sales company. Any time a member came up short I would take their tool box of tools until they settled up, That's how I ended up with 7 of these.

Speaking of tool boxes, how many keep a dedicated bus tool box?
I've been holding back revealing my latest project. I don't know how many of you know I do custom powder coating for a business. I have 7 of these vintage tool boxes in the shop and decided to set one up for the bus. I picked one up and a light went off in my brain right away. Do you see what I see? First one who guesses gets one at a discount if they want. I plan on doing a number of them.
What do you see?
Why is that tool box staring at me? [emoji55]

I saw what you meant this right away and loved the idea but it's really heavy and kind of expensive. Would make a great present for someone strong. I did make up a toolkit for the bus just to drive it home and I do plan to have one for the bus.

I'm going to post on what to take to get home if you have to drive out West.

The metal tool boxes. Not for what it is, just too heavy for me and I already have tool boxes that weigh less. But it would be a great gift.

Maybe because the link is for a bus and not a toolbox? Confused me too, assumed you just put the wrong link

Shouldn't have been confusing. I posted a line about the HF tool kit and a line with a link, then dropped down a few lines to separate the topics and started the second with "Speaking of tool boxes" which should have told you it was another topic related to tool boxes.
I still don't understand there "really heavy and kind of expensive?", the Craftsman box is like 20" long and not heavy or expensive. Unless he meant the bus as a tool box being heavy and expensive for tool box, which went right over my head.

I, too, was all sorts of confused about where this thread was initially going. The first post is a bit ambiguous.

That being said, painting the box to be a mini school bus is pretty rad!

I should have done it in 2 separate posts. But, like I said, "Speaking of tool boxes" should have clued you it was another related topic.

Did you mean to link a bus from Craigslist though? Thought it odd, and that you meant to link a tool kit

Well crap, that explains the confusion and I apologize for it.
Here's the correct link that should make sense. As I mentioned before, after a short period after posting the edit option goes away, so I can't go back and correct it.
https://www.harborfreight.com/130-Pc...cwM0Bhb2wuY29t

The link I posted is for the bus I have sent a reply to every day and they won't reply back. I guess they don't want to sell the bus or their an asshole for not replying that it has been sold. It's still listed and I'm still interested, but would be surprised at that price that it's still there.

Actually that link is not to that bus, but a different one that I have no idea why I posted it.

Friend of ours does powder coating. My brother and I built this mini bike/trailer for his display at car/bike shows he attends [winter project while the bus is parked]. He painted it...still waiting for the trailer to be painted to finish the project.

Late to the game, but I was gonna say "A copy of a tool box I've had since high school". If that Craftsman tool box new is as good as the one I have that's 45 years old, it's the only thing Craftsman that is!

Did some work on the box trying to figure out proportions. Everything needs to be bigger.
