Clearing/ slacking Chip board ?

Guys my dad has 100 sheets of what I call chip board 3/4 , I think it's called something else. My question is what could I put over it (clear) that would make it slick and not be splintery? I'm thinking that would be my cheapest route and might look cool cleared over.

Yeah that's what it is called, lol I should have looked it up. I was thinking sanding the ink marking of of it and using some sort of clear to coat it, I'm not even sure what the clear is called lol. My dad used it under his house which was built off the ground about 9 ft due to flooding and he uses that space as a shop garage etc anyway the flood got it and believe it or not it still looks good and not swollen, and it was under for weeks, completely under.

After you sand it, use a wood conditioner on it. It will help keep the amount of stain you use on it down a tad plus give you a better finish if you are staining. Clear coat with a water base polyurethane unless you want the finish to yellow eventually. OSB is mostly glue. David doesn't think you can get it smooth enough for a finished floor. You will want to cover it after a short time (probably less than a year).

http://www.lowes.com/pl_25+50_429485...roduct_price|1 These are very tough tiles (we used them in the pop-up). It makes a good, durable, fairly cheap floor. You do have to glue it down and OSB would make a good subfloor.
