Comfortable couch build?

Hey Everyone,

I had picked out a well reviewed reclining loveseat for my build. My plan was to mount it athwartship. Now, as I work on my layout I am finding that it just will not fit.

My options are to change my layout to accommodate a typical RV couch mounted longitudinally or build my own.

I have seen a handful of couch builds here that look quite nice in the pictures. My concern is comfort. We REALLY enjoy our overstuffed reclining couch and would like to have similar comfort in out bus.

What can you all who have built your own tell me as far as dimensions, foam selection and building tips?

Comfort and a width of around 50" are my primary concerns.

Thanks.

S.
