Craigslist Handi-bus Condition

What are your thoughts on the kind of commitment required for a bus like this? https://seattle.craigslist.org/oly/cto/5567509202.html
How much, in your experience, does it cost to replace the transmission on a bus like this, and would it be worth the effort? And why would someone have to wait three years to get a title??

Those drive nice, and it's a pretty nice looking truck. Funny they didn't show even one pic of the interior. I had one like that and it had disk brakes all the way around.

You do realize the transmission is gone in that truck? That rig is going to sell cheap because most people don't want to take home a truck that needs fixed.

Even worse than that, he can't give you the title for a year? What do you want to be that after a year he'd say it's not his problem.

If there was a title you could have that towed to a transmission shop and have them fix the tranny if you wanted to go that way. I'd just get one without problems in the first place. The title issue is a killer even worse than a bad transmission.
