Crane Carrier chassis

Greetings all I'm new to skoolies but have converted a highway coach and had a few questions:
1991 Ward Senator
Crane Carrier Chassis
5.9 cummins at545

1st -anyone have this bus and successfully converted it?
2nd - what the heck do I do with the doghouse area and the wheel wells?
3rd - anyone go to 24.5 tires and gain anything?

And these are just getting me started ;)

Re: Crane Carrier chassis

1-no
2-climb over them i guess, since its a FE
3- since you have a 545 transmission, depending upon your rear axle ratio, the 24.5 tires will get you a bit more speed.. however... speed is determined by the circumfrence of the tires, not wheel size. busses that go up and down a lot of steep hills all the time would be better off with smaller circumfrence tires but since 24.5's are mostly all larger in size than the 22.5's circumfrence, they are better for level freeways...

Chev49 your on the other boards aren't you? She rolls out at 70 with pedal left no problem so I'm not concerned so much about speed as the BOUNCE!
