Dometic Propane Refrigerator

My Dometic refrigerator is not cooling all that well. Do I need to put more amonia gas in it. If so, I do I get amonia gas?

It is not plain amonia, not sure about charging them, first thing would be to fix the leak. There are sellers on Ebay that sell replacement cooling elements but they are not exactly cheap. The replacement element for my older Dometic runs $420... so I'm just going to replace it with an electric refridge...

Take the fridge to an rv mechanic. They have wonderful diagnostic tools that may save you a bunch in guesswork.

My 2 cents.

Where in Ca? There's a guy in Vallejo who rebuilds/sell rebuilt RV refrigerators. I haven't been there, so no comment on quality.

it's all about the heat exchanger, make sure you have plenty of air going across the coils on the rear or it won't get cold
