DT 360 oil capacity

Can anyone tell me roughly how much oil I'll need to change the oil on my DT360? This is without a filter change.

Thanks!
Sean

Re: DT 360 oil capacity

I don't have that motor myself but I would guess it to be between 15 to 17 quarts.

Re: DT 360 oil capacity

good guess. Mine held about 4 gallons, including the filters.

you are planning to change the filters aren't you?

The dt360 is the only skoolie motor i've ever had that didn't burn, leak or otherwise loose any oil. That was an awesome motor, especially after i turned up the rpm's and the hp.

Re: DT 360 oil capacity

Thank you for the replies. This will be an oil-only change.

Cheers!

Re: DT 360 oil capacity

it's your bus, but i think it's a worthwhile investment to install a pair of $12.00 oil filters while your going through the trouble of changing the oil, or are you using some sort of special super filter ??

Re: DT 360 oil capacity

No super filter but we only put a couple of thousand miles on the bus every year, so the oil is due mostly because of age, not really miles.
Mostly we're in a time crunch right now. If I can squeeze it in, I'll do the filters as well. Thanks for the prodding.

I was able to change the filters too. About 18 quarts is what she took.

Thanks

I ended up using a Wix 51789. Worked pretty good. I'm about to do an oil change now. Any tips?
