Elastomeric coating the floor?

I have a bunch of leftover elastomeric coating from a roof job. I was wondering how it would work on the floor. I would think it would be good for sealing any pinholes and seams and even help with sound deadening. I would still be putting a foam board and plywood subfloor on top of it. I've searched and only found it being used on roofs so i was just curious.

not suitable - too soft, promotes rust, wears poorly

Bad idea. Just use some cheap old Rusto.
