Re: Floating floor squeaks?

Here a good one to think about instead of squeaks floors and tire presser & bs ,,think about this ,,how to make your diesel run on multi fuels ,like motor oil or jet fuel, not bio diesel or veg oil.. . do.like the military trucks M35a. diesel not getting any cheaper nor veg oil.....so think about this,it would make a good discussion

Re: Floating floor squeaks?

I think we need a discussion about how much vegtable oil we use on the floor to eliminate squeaks...

Re: Floating floor squeaks?

I was thinking bacon grease. Talk about stinky!

One of the guys at work told me his grandfather used to pour bacon grease around the bottom of fence posts to keep them from rotting away from moisture. All I could think was how bad it must have smelled and how many bugs it attracted.

Re: Floating floor squeaks?

dip drill bits in bacon grease before you chuck them up in the drill press.. also works when needing lube for your lathe tool.

Re: Floating floor squeaks?

Then you get to work with the scent of cooking bacon! Mmmmmm!

I finally decided to glue the foam to the floor, then glue the wood to the foam. Before I add the final flooring surface, I'll add 1 to 3 screws around the edge of each sheet of plywood (depending on size). That will help maintain the distance from the wall.

Unfortunately, until I can get help with the generator out of the bus, I'm at a standstill with the flooring. So I've moved on to plumbing and building the framework for the walls.
