Floor rust

Okay guys so I have the interior stripped down to bare metal. And there is specs of rust all over the place nothing serious except in front by the driver. My question is what do you guys do about this do you use a certain kind of paint to just roll over the rust or do u grind all the rust away then paint? What was your process amd what kind of paint did you use and what was the cost if you remeber. Let me know guys anything helps

What I used on mine was a wire cup brush on my angle grinder to knock off the loose rust, cleaned the area with mineral spirits, sprayed the rusted areas with rust reformer, rolled on rusty metal primer and ended with a coat of Rustoleum paint. Letting things dry between processes of course.

Pretty much the same on mine. Biggest PITA was removing the thin layer of ancient asphalteum. Went through a lot of acetone and rags.

a wire wheel on a drill is my favorite rust scrubber. Then ospho, then a primer of some sort.

Too messy for me, YMMV.
I just wire wheel it all off, vacuum it, then ospho the hell out of it.
