Well it's preference really, but I put carpeting in my bus and now I wish I hadn't. I'm always worried about the carpet getting stained, especially when there's a lot of people in the bus partying.

I'd recommend using rugs instead of carpet, much easier to clean up. Spilling a beer onto carpeting sucks.

Really depends on what you wanna do with the bus and what your tendencies are. I know for myself that we like to be outdoors and that we don't take the shoes off right away when we get in, so carpet is out of the question for our bus. The only area that might get a carpet - rug will be the bedroom.
So if your a clean freak and don't have little kids with muddy shoes go for a nice soft carpet which also would improve the sound dampening qualities of your bus.

I've got 3 dogs and they can trash a place pretty quick when we're out camping so, tile it is.
