Flooring (for the tenth time)
Hello all,
First time poster. This site is so great. Thanks to all who have contributed. What a wealth of information for a newbie like me. Always wanted to drive a bus. Always loved to tailgate. Finally took the plunge a few weeks ago and bought a 1986 short bus (7 windows) Bluebird with an after-market gasoline engine and a wheelchair ramp. I had it painted school colors, took out the ramp. I am going to outfit it with some seating, large screen TV, satellite (VuCube), etc.
I am in the process of ripping up the wheelchair tracks on the floor I am going to take the seats out and then put down new flooring. It looks like plywood under the rubber. I think i want to do a navy blue and white checkerboard pattern. Anything special about putting down linoleum type flooring in one of these busses. Is there something better to use? Do I do a regular new subfloor?
I will be anxious to post pictures. Again, thanks for the help.
