Sent the device out to joeblack5 last week. If anyone else wants to use it leave a reply here and maybe we can set up a forwarding chain.

Can I use this on an 04 Thomas CAT 3126, Allison 3060 transmission to unlock 6th gear?

If so I’d love to be next. I’ll cover shipping

No.

Only Allison can unlock 6th gear on the MD3060. They do it by flashing a new program directly to the TCU.

First you need the permission of the OEM bus manufacturer to have the work done. The Allison will consider the request. If they all agree, the work can be done at your nearest Allison dealer.

I'm guessing this would work with mine since we both have international 3800s. I can do 65 in the bus, which i believe is about my limit right now at 2600rpm, and on my trip home I actually kept pressing the off button for my cruise by mistake so I'm not sure if it needs to be activated or not since i haven't used it.

Not being familiar with buses and altering the programming, I think i might wait until we have a meetup somewhere and I'm street legal and see if i can get some help from one of ya'll just to see what can be changed. Hoping to be registered and insured by June, hopefully in time for my vaca from work june 1-10. Haven't bother yet since it just sits in storage while i build.

65 is fine in your case but depending on where you're driving it you might want to build a tad bit more momentum downhill, in which case unlocking the speed limiter would allow you to do so. Otherwise you'll hear your engine kick out going down hill, regardless of RPM. You don't want to mess with RPM, in my opinion. Cruise is most likely not activated. The school districts don't really want bus drivers using cruise control on their routes. It's used stock as an idle lock but is really not safe to use when driving unless you're cool with slamming the clutch and brake at the same time at highway speeds in the case that you can't reach the idle switch.

Warewolff and Christopher, thank you for all your help with changing the road speed on our Dory with a MBE906 engine.
watched the you tube video

and can do the same in the actual ddct program.

Couple of things I do not understand . In the video from metafiles the file rel_32d gets selected,, why that one, for what engine is that?

In my DDCT version there is also a metafile folder ddec5 . would that be better to use on the MBE engine?

any inputs appreciated.

Did you get it working!?!?!? I don't have any expertise so I can't answer your question.

Not Yet. I am confused, I would have imagined that I would download the current settings from the computer and then modify them.

I saw in the video in the end that after making a modification in an existing file rel_32 file that so that it gets a * indication . Then with a right click a menu opens with upload and download.. I tried that with other files in the meta folder and they all do that, so waht is the difference between them?

I hope someone on the forum has experience with detroit diesel calibration tool.

You need to work out how to download your current calibration file, save it, then upload it with the modified values. I think. The others look like stock config files which might be why it's telling you some of the parameters are off. The last thing you want to do is mess with RPM or something else critical.

yes , that is what I would think but why would all those ddec4 and ddec5 files be there?

Anyhow, the program I was working with was detroit diesel calibration tool. There is also dddl7 in the rar that i downloaded from your link. But that folder is empty. Lost your original link that was in my now broken phone.
