Full time with 5 kids, FLOOR PLAN HELP

My wife and I are going to be buying a bus next month. We are going to be going full time by the fall. Weve always wanted to travel across the US, Im lucky my job allows me to work in any city. We have 5 kids twins that are 9, an 8 yr old, 7 yr old and a 3 yr old. Does anyone have a floor plan that would accommodate us? We will also be doing a 12-18 roof raise. I have a couple of ideas but nothing solid yet.

It might be helpful if you included the specs of your bus. Interior dimensions would be even more helpful. Following along with the Project Tina Build might be helpful, but I haven't really perused their thread. From a quick search I also found a Good Housekeeping article another big family who live on a bus.

If you don't already have it, I'd recommend downloading SketchUp. I made a base model of our floor area (only the living space, not the driver's seat and stairs) that I built about 15 iterations of our floor plans on.

I'm also interested in this topic. I bought a 36' bus but haven't started the conversion yet. We have 3 kids, but will likely take in 2 more from a relative soon.

We have ten kids, but only the youngest four are coming with us on the bus! We are going on a ten day road trip on Friday, and I really should be packing but I am playing around on here. Our 37 foot bus is a flat nose with engine in front. My husband put in a "garage"in the very back, only accessible through the rear door, to store stuff. Next is our full size bed turned sideways with storage drawers under it. Then a bunk area, we put in three, but could have done 2 on each side. Our 3 boys will sleep there. The middle is a big open area because we have not done anything to it yet for kitchen, bath, etc. Then in the front we have a couch where our daughter will sleep, across from a traditional rv styled dinette ( could have made a fold down, but we did not need that). I always carry a tent, the little guys like to camp outside if weather and place permit. When we camped with all ten kids (not in a bus) we always used a tent and children crashed on the floor if they had to. Hmm, I will attempt to take pictures once we are traveling, and when we get back, to post them. Hope that helps!
