Generator choices

Hello, I have a 68 crown I've been living in for over a year and it is time to get a generator for my upcoming travels. The cheap contractor generators are a bit loud for for me, but worst comes to worst I can get one and modify it to fit. I've considered the ultra quiet Honda ones, but the 3000 watt one is a little tall for the space I have, and i'd be concerned about the fumes, I need something that can vent out the bottom, maybe a muffler that sticks out underneath. I want to be able to run some lights, and at least one rooftop ac unit. If I could find a good used Onan I'd jump on it, maybe even a new onan. I need to buy something soon, any thoughts?? I have a gas tank mounted under the bus so that isn't a problem.

I have a used onan 4.5k gas gen that I want to upgrade to about a 7k+ diesel gen. I got this gas one with my bus and haven't had a chance to check it out. I should do that now that the weather is better. It's a two cylinder made for a rv with no gas tank on it. Not sure if that's what your looking for and I'm probably not going to be able to look at it before you need one but I thought I'd throw that out there

thanks for the reply, I think an old onan would be work for me, I'd have to check the dimensions and be sure its in good condition. I'm looking for something in the next 2-4 weeks or so, located in Austin TX. There was an onan in it when I bought it, but it didn't run well and I don't have it any more, maybe should have kept it.
