My champion 3100 W inverter generator that I have installed in a tray under the skirt is not bad. I havenít done anything additional to quiet it down, but when the bus engine is running, it is a rear engine configuration, I cannot hear the generator at all no matter how hard I try.

This is how I have mine mounted, it is roughly midway between the axles on the drivers side.

I have a gas 5500W already. I would prefer to have a diesel but since the other is free maybe I should just stick with it and install a fuel tank.
