that is a good price. You should be able to get by with a shorty. Let us know how it works.

Not sure if its EFI or not but there are always alternitives

It wont be cheap but a Duramax diesel might be the ticket.

You need to watch the RPM's...as has been said, many 366's are really buzzing due to deep gearing. Running a 454 for long periods at 3000+RPM will not do anything good for the engine!

of course this is just my opinion, but the chance of finding a 1990 engine with 25,000 miles are .00000001 percent. Be careful.

I have not looked in to this on my 366 but is there a difference in blocks for units that have air brakes versus non air brake units? I have a guy with one on CL that he wants 300 bucks for it but I am holding off (not that I need one its just to have as a ready spare) till I know if there is a difference?

the guy that has this 366 with 25,000 miles says the engine is perfect. its still in the 1990 kodiak/topkick 6500. i can still hear it run because its still in the truck. i asked about it running on the highway and pushing its rpms too high. he said the truck is happiest at 3000 to 4500 rpms
