GOT "PAINT"

Finally able to paint her. I've been watching everyone else paint theirs in two days. Like Lapeer, he gets flames and everything. I went for a conservative approach. This what i got.

Oooohhhhh! A 15 window bus! I want one! Paint looks good too. What is that on the top of your bus above the windshield? BTW, it took me about two weeks to get my bus painted if you count all of the prep work. The actual painting took two days. And I still have to put flames on it! That will be another two or three days at the rate I work.

I was looking for a way to cover up the holes from the school lights. I didn't want to put little panels or even different lights. I had a piece of aluminum diamond plate laying around. I had to seem it down the middle (tig weld). The seem happend to fit the style of the bus. (I like it)

Thanks

Re: GOT "PAINT"

Like most, I used Rustoleum professional in the gallon size. I picked up the white and black at Home Depot but the Orange I had to hunt around for. I found one gallon here and another gallon there. In the end it worked out. Hope she holds up over time.

Regards

Re: GOT "PAINT"

Did you spray it on or use a roller or brush?

Re: GOT "PAINT"

I used a HVLP gun ($75.00), seemed to work fine. I did roll the roof just because that easy. I walked on the roof and rolled. Once I got to the sides the spray gun makes a nice shiny finish.
