I love the look of those things! They remind me of an old fashioned train caboose.

It occurs to me it wouldn't take much to make a school bus look like one of these. Most folks raise their roof... changing the roof to this type wouldn't take much more than that. Of course, it would totally alter the structural integrity, but would it be any worse than a regular RV?

Just a thought.

To make a bus look like a trolley or rail car, all you would need to do is build a clearstory on top. If the height of the current ceiling is okay, then all you would need do is cut openings between the ribs (that would be a good place to install a track for modular Low Voltage track lighting). I don't think that would impact the structural integrity of the bus unless it is a stressed skin.
