Hello I am a new member have a question about roof raise!

I've had all my window out, to clean out the old caulk and to skin some of the openings. The ones I'm keeping are getting tinted, resealed and reinstalled. On my bluebird anyway, you would have to take the windows out to raise the roof, they would be in the way when it came time to weld in the "extensions" to support the roof.

I dont see why you cant just split it apart where the wall meets the roof right above the windows, put in some pre-fabricated framing and weld it to the wall and roof. Then just skin the new framing... but then again, there are a crap load of rivets along that seam...
