"32x32" is what we went with. I have not put it to use in the real world but so far it seems like it will work out well.

32X32 shower pan. We have used this size shower in the past and it has worked okay for us. If David decides he wants a bigger shower stall, he can go use the handicapped shower in the campground bathhouse.

Re: How big is your shower?

I've got a new Full Size Shower that I can have for free (Pan and three sides...) I'll just have to get the dimensions and check it out. I'd LOVE to have a full size shower in there with a nice Solid Glass front.

Mine is a 36" corner unit. First decent cheap shower pan I could find. $35. The interior layout is actually built around the shower pan. Now all I got to do is figure out a shower curtain, and plumb some water.

Re: How big is your shower?

i made mine by heating floor a bit with torch to make it drain to a low point (like any normal shower) boxing in with 2x6 treated lumber, and fiberglassing the whole thing, with a gel coat. then i drilled the drain hole with the hole saw. any shape can be made that way. doing it this way, i didnt have to buy anything, or try to fit the shower base as i had on previous busses. then i just added the walls...
was the easiest one i have ever done...

This really makes sense... I was considering opening a square hole in the floor to drop the shower down 4" - 6" so that my 6'2" head could get under the water flow!!!!!!

We are going to use an all vinyl accordion door on our 32" wide shower. We don't like "curtains"... they always seem to either blow in and stick to our butts or they blow out and dribble water all over the floor. We will install it so that the bottom is slightly inside the pan so it sheds water inside, not outside the pan.

They also come in 48" wide doors. I would think you can butt them together or attach two together since I know you can remove panels to make narrower. At any rate, we believe this will work best for us and what we will be doing. Sure beats the price of the RV accordion shower door you buy at Camping World. Of course you can always either buy an extend-a-shower or build one out of PVC or metal pipe. Or you could just get a curved rod. HD has a neo angle rod like your shower but at $112, That's too rich for my tastes, especially considering I tend to buy my shower curtains from Dollar Tree.

Re: How big is your shower?

The "problem" I have with my corner unit and shower curtains is due to the curve of the roof. If the curtain rod is at the height that it can make a level run, the rod is on the low side. My plan at the moment is to use several magnets to suspend the shower curtain from the metal ceiling.

Re: How big is your shower?

I don't have it done yet, but my plans are to do build my own.

Coating it with this.

Then doing this.

Using this

The shower will look like this.

I plan on coating and sealing the walls with clear marine epoxy.
