As far as cable tv, I got no idea.
If you're talking about satellite tv... They have 'in-motion' systems for dishnetwork and direct tv
This guy may help

winegard makes an in-motion satellite receiver. i think both dish and direct tv have rv plans that you can buy by the month.
the "in-motion" feature about doubles the price. reviews are mixed on them. a common problem is using it when parked, as the antenna keeps looking for a signal.
there are a few other brands as well.

My cable TV company also has a satellite company. As mentioned above there are satellite systems for RV'S.

A guy I work with recycled an old Dish satellite to pick up local tv channels and another to pick up free wifi from an impressive distance. The thing is he is parked at the time, he can point the dish one way for tv and one way for internet. How this would apply driving I have no idea. My idea is download a bus load of movies and watch them while in motion.

I approve this message. I have over 300 DVDs, in the process of ripping them as I get time, and so far 139 have taken up 605 GB. I rip with VLC, though I am looking for a better method, I get the occasional hiccup with a frame or two here and there repeating itself, making it appear as a momentary skip in the encoding. It doesn't bother me that much though... Better than having the audio three seconds behind the video.
