Installing RV Windoew

Hello all, I'm converting a 88 Crown & I'm taking all the passenger windows out & installing RV windows, my plan is to have 1"by 1.5" tubing bent for the frames then welding them in between the ribs where they will be placed. Just wondering how others have done this install?

Re: Installing RV Windoew

Maybe I have this wrong, but when I did my van, I didn't put any framing around the window. The RV windows I used and have for my bus have a clamp ring. I have the steel skin on the outside, then insulation and 1/4" plywood on the inside. Cut the hole, put butyl tape around the window ring and place it in the hole. Then screw the inner ring to the window and it clamps tight. My van use 1 1/2 windows, I have 3" for the bus.
