International steering column question

Can anyone verify that the 3800 steering column has the same nut size and spline count as the OTR tractors? Ordering for a steering wheel swap, but the company isn't sure if the big rig adapter will work on a 3800 as they haven't tested it.

Talked to 2 nearby International service managers and they're both 'pretty sure' it's the same size and spline count, but aren't positive.

Anyone with first-hand knowledge?

International 3800 steering wheel swap.....the T05 International steering wheel hub adapter used on the big rigs does fit on the 3800 school bus column.

Posted to help with possible future searches.

I suspected as much but wasn't sure enough to justify a reply earlier.

I guess I'll trust the service managers a little more next time.

Here's the adapter I used--

I went from 18" to 16"......if you're going bigger, this is the only site I saw that had more than a handful to select from...

Good stuff!.. my Loadstar has a 20 inch wheel on it and I really like the feel of it.. I also believe the S-series could be had with 20 inch wheels.. ...

whats funny is the bus wit hthe smallest wheel.. my 3800 DEV bus which has a 16.. and not the normal 18.. has the darn stiffest power steering of all my busses..

my Loadstar with its 20 inch wheel is Literally "Cadillac" power steering.. I wish all my busses had the "cadillac" effect..

my old 1976 Eldorado had steering so assistive that I could give the steering wheel a soin and it would turn an additional turn on its own..

Hey man I was trying to pull mine off with a puller and after take the nut off I couldn't get the wheel to budge with a puller.... Any thoughts?
Shoot mine turns easier than my E350 does.
Reason I was pulling it was I put my desk in up front and the wheel is in the way, currently I have a table top clamped to the wheel but it's higher up than comfortable....
