Ok, so I have decided I'm most likely going to have 4 golf cart batteries to run the house system. DC side will be several lights, water pump, furnace. AC inverted power will be 5 or 6 outlets, tv, microwave, possibly chest freezer as refrigerator (unsure).
Shore/generator AC power will be: water heater, 2 A/C units, and above inverted loads.
My plan for this setup is to have a 2000 watt inverter/charger/transfer switch combo and a seperate sub panel for the Air Conditioner that will run off gen or shore power.
Unfortunately the inverter that I would like to use is a lot of money just to have the capacity to run the microwave on inverted power. I was wondering what some of your configurations are? Maybe someone can come up with some other alternatives to my idea or tweek it a little?
