Keeping things in balance

How important is it to keep things balanced when converting the bus? I was thinking of doing things like putting the water tanks in the center of the bus, so that draining the tanks wouldn't change the center of gravity.

It's a good idea as far as handling. It will also sit more level. It isn't crucial, but is beneficial. My generator is heavy, so I will keep my tanks on the opposite side.

I think it's more important to keep the weight back over the rear dual wheels. The front single wheels have the engine already.

Take empty bus to the Cat scales to see how your weight is distributed.
