Keeping your Bus out of the mud

Noticed this morning my bus is starting to sink in my parking spot in my "yard" that was a river for a week. wondering what do you guys park your rigs on to prevent them from sinking out of site? I had a couple small plank boards but they broke up... has to be something out there thats cheap to free and works well!

I don't know about cheap, but two layers of 2 x 12 + 2 x 6 work well.


I had to do that for my bus because my driveway was and still is a swamp right now with all the rain we've been having. The boards are 8' long and the tires are centered over the 'platform' to distribute the weight. They were a pain in the butt to move, but I'm glad I used them!

lol i love your way of thinking but i got 2 classics infront of the bus that i have to move and find a place to put them and the dump trucks will not go past the driveway. they would sink out of site!

im gonna put some plates on it me thinks.. drive it for a few days while we enjoy the +20 (70f+) days. then i can pick up some ties/wood etc for putting it back in place.

I'd just go grab a few bags of cement and a couple of long 2x6's. Make some 2ft x 2ft concrete blocks 5-6 inches thick and place them where you are going to park the bus. It's a lot cheaper than poring an entire driveway but as long as you drive out when it's dry you should be fine.

well ive been lucky and had really warm days of near +20c each day and a couple days of high winds. I did manage to get it out and leave some wheel divits in the lawn. driveway is not as .. strong as i thought it would be..

not a bad idea. would need to decide on a permanent spot in the yard for that :P


and Timmy, yes i did. cept my passenger side dualls are low.. yet Kal Tire GAVE me an air chuck and tire pressure checker today for free! now i need to haul my air compressor home lol
