So actually getting around to my back deck area A.K.A. our veranda
We think of our bus as being a 25 footer, with a little extra interstate hanging off the back, aft of the wheels
First no Sir mix-alot wise cracks
We always back in and let the rear over hang be were it is, a lot of pretty spots if not restricted by OAL
Now some spots like a beach spot we like, no way can you step out the back w/o swimming
I need an adjustable way to get down from the veranda w/o looking too redneck and stacking cinder blocks
So I am thinking 3 ways now
1) some built-in steps to ground like cabooses have
Pro-cool
Con-none adjustable for ht
2)flip down stairs built with wide steps on 8" spacing done with mount holes for steps parallel, so steps remain level through up/down motion
Pro-adjustable ht steps
Con-spacing of steps Will be a constantly changing variable, this = ER visit, not cool
3)a fold down ramp like ships use and forts with moats use or even uhaul moving truck, make it twin fold like an attic ladder to have a short drop or extended drop
Pro-forts are cool and being able to say, just one time..."aarrr lower the ramp!" Priceless
Con-winter time...a lot longer than other ideas
4)combine 2 ideas like keep passenger side caboose short steps and a bigger fold down ramp straight out back for when our estate allows it
Pro-it works
Con-twice as much work or 1/2 as much work on floor/deck of veranda.....never got the 1/2 full or empty thing
So weigh in and discuss
