Look at my drawers!

Not perhaps the best construction ever but... Accurate to within 1/32 inch...

The trick to getting the runners right is metal washers. If the wood is not quite right, washers space the runners nicely.

The bottom drawer is ten inches deep by 18 inches long by 13 inches wide. That should accommodate plates and dishes held edgewise. I'll build a rack to hold them with a rubber buffer at the bottom.

ID:	7937 well, I got 6 drawer bottoms in place. The 7th... It turned out I had been given two right hand runners. Well, not to worry. It was generous of somebody too give me a pile of runners. I made two drawers from donated runners.

The grain on the faces makes kind of a fun pattern. Are you going to paint over it, or keep the grain visible?
