Good score. I'm a little confused by the picture of the engine. The ribs on the valve cover, are they raised? If they are, I think you have a DT360. The badge says DT466. The 466 has the ribs indented.

Whatever engine you have, if you got 12 mpg in a 71 passenger bus, that's the engine I'd want.

It's not a big deal until you're buying parts. Both engines are good.

i just use semi gloss and flat enamel from wal mart.

I stopped using flat because it stains to easy,since it's not really "sealed" we paint trucks all the time with satin or semi-gloss enamel
