Made Me Smile and Yell YES

Watching the 5:00 news and a report comes on where a thief jumped into a womans car with her children inside while she was pumping gas and tried to drive off. Very common here lately in Atl. She was able to jump into the back seat as he pulled away, she reached in her purse, pulled out her gun, and shot him in the face...... YES, YES, YES. He ran off, but was nabbed nearby. Seldom you hear of good news anymore.

I believe the only valid use of force is defensive, kudos for her for protecting her family.

True. But that first defensive shot could have been better placed.

A warning shot or two to the head makes perfect sense in that situation. Way to go Mom!

Tango, LMAO. I like the way you think--and agree. But can you imagine all the sh** that shot will cause for the poor mom? Jack

I made reference to Atlanta, because this happens about 8 times a week on the news here, but this time it was in Dallas, Tx.
Funny you mention"warning shots":
“I should have just have emptied the whole clip but I didn’t. I didn’t. I just wanted to give him a warning shot that was it,” Booker-Hicks told the station. “I’m not a killer or anything like that, but I do believe in defending what’s mine.”

s in the glovebox, she was able to climb over and retrieve it before he knew what was going on.s
No charges were filed against the Mom, the "shooting victim" will likely face kidnapping and unlawful use of a vehicle, after he gets out of the hospital.Gun was in the glovebox, she was able to climb over the seat and retrieve it.
