Thanks for the congrats, Desiree. We'll do what it takes to make things work.

No capsules, concoctions, or contraband involved. Lack of common sense comes natural to me

Are they, like, still waiting for you to come back with their bus?

Nope, handed them a wad of cash and hit the road for Seattle for a couples days before heading back to No. Ga.

I think it’s a great looking bus! You wouldn’t have gotten it cheaper because you were bidding against a reseller. I have been following those five buses to see what they would go for. The reseller only ended up with two of them.

3509 is a nice bus. It may be me, but they started 3509, 3510 and 3511 with starting fluid, which I don't like. The batteries are shot, but tires on these all of the 6 window buses looked great. I did not check the tire date codes.

Air ride seat and A/C should give you a nice ride back to the house.

We had second thoughts and decided for a 7 or 8 window bus (which we haven't found yet).

Fantastic!

Perfect size bus. And the price is perfect, especially for no rust. Cheap rust is a very expensive thing to buy. I did essentially the same thing, only farther away. I bought a 7 window Freightliner Thomas in Alabama. I live in northwest Washington state. I literally won the thing on auction, got a plane ticket, and was on the shuttle to SeaTac 4 hours later. It was a Thursday, and I had to make it to the school district office to pay for it before the end of business Friday. Everything worked out perfectly, and I drove it 2900 miles back home without a hiccup. The worst thing about the trip was doing it solo.

Yeah man! The wheelbase looks short enough you could turn donuts!

Congratulations on your acquisition. Now the fun really begins!

Thanks for the positive thoughts all, Jody's on the road right now with all things necessary for any quick fixes and some more advanced... He'll be picking it up on Monday. Super Excited!! We have the floor plan laid out in blue tape on our living room floor... we've been looking at it for a weeks now. Extra benefit of others buying in the same auction and some already picked up. Understanding that each bus is individual but hoping for the best.

Does it feel strange to know your new home will fit in your current living room?

Well.. we're a bit away from it being our home.. actually it'll be our roaming home.. we hope to get some property up north and put up a container home setup.. off grid as well so.. We'll have both ;).

Anxious to get out on the road though.. our reason for going Skoolie is because of our fur babies. We used to travel out of town each weekend in our X-Terra with our two dogs.. well.. things being what they are our fur family grew to a point that we couldn't travel anymore and we both miss it. So.. it'll be great to have a vehicle that all of us can fit in again and we can get on the road again.

Funny side note, we have two X-Terra's and they're both yellow.. so.. yellow ain't no thing here. Can't wait to hear the neighbors when we pull a big yellow bus onto our side yard

On my phone, so apologies on not addressing y'all individually. Thanks for all the well wishes and offers of assistance. Pretty damned cool for people you've never met. we sure hope to meet as many of y'all as possible in the near future. Great group of peeps.

Made it into el Paso. Was going to go the whole 14 hours but glad in retrospect I broke it up. Will be in Austin tomorrow then Mr beefy day after that.

If they use starting fluid on our bus again I'm going to slap them with my pimp hand

Not taking any chances on you Texans. I know what can happen when you see oil

Used properly, starting fluid is not bad for our engines.
