Re: moisture between window glass

Not all that obvious to me either, I have no overlapping glass to get moisture inbetween?

Re: moisture between window glass

My windows are double paned. Between the pains in the front 2-3 windows on each side there is condensation trapped. Now eliminating the pathway the condensation took to get in there is easy enough, but getting it out first is not so obvious.

OK, if it got in, you can get it out. Try using a heat gun or hair dryer to mildly heat the window until the condensation evaporates, then seal it.

It will probably take a little while per window. You will have to use very mild heat it bcause it will have to evaporate through the same leak that allowed it to enter.

Hope this helps!

Re: moisture between window glass

If you can manage it, chuck a bunch of silica beads between the panes to absorb the moisture. My two front side windows are double-paned and there's about (guesstimate) about 1/8th cup of silica beads in between the panes. They never fog.
I'd go this route since there is a good chance that it will never be a 100% dry environment in there. Get it as dry as possible, add the silica beads, seal it up, and hope for the best.

Here's 25 lbs:

If you google with keywords "desiccant beads" you should get a lot of hits. I only saw the little packets used for shipping & storing electronics, and the big 25+ lb bags. I'm sure there's an in-between..somewhere...
