I am trying to figure out a way to mount a few flag poles to the ROOF of my bus. I am searching for mounting hardware which can attach to the sloping side of the roof. I do not want to use the flag pole drive over tire mount. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Are you sure you want to drill holes in your roof? I'd probably mount the hardware to the window pillars instead.....less chance of leaks.
Drilling holes in the roof is one of my least favorite things to do.. But I do it, I just do it carefully. You need to add a sealer to the hole and drive your screw or bolt or whatever into the sealer to get a good seal, and I smear some on top when I'm done too. The last hole I cut was with a 1 1/4 hole saw which i did not enjoy at all but I sealed it up tight.
I have had really good success with stainless steel self tapping screws like Teks brand at Lowes. Make sure to get less than 2 inch length or you'll poke through the inner skin too. I use #8 and #10 sizes depending on what I'm mounting.
I didn't mount mine to the roof, I made brackets and bolted them to the front. I have a 20 foot flag pole and it sits on the front bumper. I also have a light so I can can properly fly the flag at night.
