new guy here ready to start

Hey everyone,

I've been lingering around here for the past couple of months or so. I've enjoyed reading about what everyone as been doing. I've been wanting to convert a bus into an RV since I was back in high school. It's or never for me now. After convincing the little lady that runs the house, I've got the green. I've looking for a bus for about 4 months now and think I've picked it out. I found a 98 International Amtran. It is 84 passenger, has an International 466 front engine, with an Allison automatic transmission, air brakes, and A/C. The mileage is reading 132k miles and looks clean. I've got them down to $4000. Is that a good price or would I be paying too much? Also, I was considering going older and with more miles to save money. What are some things I should be looking at when doing the final check on the bus? What are some things I should be prepared for during my skoolie build? I'm looking forward to this project to do some traveling in the future with my better half. I'm looking forward to any input and documenting my process here.

Thanks for reading,
