New Member, Interested in your thoughts

Hey Everyone,

I'm a new member eager to get our project started. Hopefully this thread is in the most appropriate place. I just found this 87 Chevy Short Bus and am curious to hear your immediate thoughts. Would you happen to know anything about the engine/chassis just by the year and images?

This site has been a big help with research for our soon to be conversion. Thanks for all your posts and knowledge!

Going by the year, I'd guess it has the 6.2 diesel engine. That's a great motor. Hard to say much more without more info though!

Welcome aboard! What are your plans for the bus? Full-timing, just using it for road trips, etc.?

Thanks! My girlfriend (username: PeaceTrain201 and I want to convert a short skoolie to live in full time and travel/live across the country. Our budget is low and have limited amount of time to make the project happen as our lease is up in two months. We're researching hard in order to make the best, most efficent decisions. So far, our plan is to buy a bus, then use the Vermont loophole in order to avoid Nevada's RV inspection standards. The immediate conversion will be minimal , but hopefully livable.
Also, I see you're from Jersey, us as well, where abouts?
