New paint scheme

The red will actually be a Honda Dark Cherry metallic, the blue Honda Royal Blue metallic, and the yellow an undetermined cream colored pearl. Can you tell my main customer is a Honda dealer?

Whatcha think?

Re: New paint scheme

Yeah, I'm not crazy about the graphics on new motorhomes either. I wanted something with classic lines that bring up ideas of old transit buses, and to soften the extreme boxyness of a 47 year old bread truck. The Grumman fin is a must, the red line is the rounded portion of the rub guard.

Trust me, even though I get paint at jobber cost, the costs of painting this bread truck with modern base/clear will be substantial. I have to get it right in one shot!

LOL, only 2 panels need any body work. I am a paint and body guy, I have an 18inch line board and I'm ready to use it...pearls are much more forgiving than modern metallics.

Sharks mouth...?

Re: New paint scheme

Ok so I got bored this morning and was messing around with your paint scheme hope you dont mind. But this is what I came up with.

one question are you set on using those colors? Red yellow and blue? reason I ask is there primary colors and even though they go together well I think changing the yellow to a lighter blue would be easier on the eye.

let me know what you think

Chris

EDIT* just noticed the color on my picture is a bit off. guess it must have changed when I converted it from PDF to JPG. but you get the idea.

Re: New paint scheme

Lol, by all means, play with the design! I might see one, or an aspect I like!

The colors are just there for "placement" The yellow will be a cream color, probably pearl. The red will be a dark cherry metallic and the blue will be a deep metallic blue or a dark metallic green.

Re: New paint scheme

I will be shooting for lighter colors on the upper areas, cut down on heat gain.

Re: New paint scheme

OK played a bit more with it. I adjusted the color to closer to what you wanted and flipped it around a bit. Then I got a little more bored and drew Cartmen into it. lol
