The reason I'm looking to do it is that I want to relocate the master bed to a loft bed to give me more floorspace. Not looking for a hot tub room etc. 😎 I want the rear to be my main entry. I've actually seen a couple hacked up car hauler buses dirt cheap localy . with all e stress and time done cutting it up already one could just start from scratch and build a cabin to fit. Hoping to find one wit a diesel. So far they are gas and I'm not a fan of those.

You guys are all missing the obvious do a popup type setup for the roof raise just make sure you have low height furniture up there leave it down while driving up while parked hell u could even hook it up to a couple of hydraulic cylinder so all u gotta do is flip a switch and its up in seconds

And leaking stinking hydraulic oil on the inside ill pass as 12 ft is not a issue. Remember a solid roof contributes to its strength what you suggest would flop around
