Re: Newbie here

Welcome to the forum. I can't help much with your questions, I don't know much about your rig. Be sure to get a competent mechanic, one who knows buses, to give it a check.

Best regards,

Keith

Re: Newbie here

There aren't a whole lot of Crown owners on this forum, but like others said, that is a sweet looking bus!

PS:
You could search on the forum for these members, who have (or had) Crowns:
Browncrown
Frank-id
Jerry Campbell
Jarlaxle

There was another guy too, named John...

Re: Newbie here

A beautiful machine. What district/company has that? A lay-down Detroit in it? These buses are being sold off because California will "ground" them at the end of 2017 for emissions reasons among other things. If it's still certified as a legal school bus, you are probably in good shape. The CHP would not certify it if it couldn't pass muster. They are built like brick you know what's Go to DMV if you buy it and get a permit to move, you will be fine in CA for driving it...don't know what the regs are in Oregon and Washington for getting it home.
