Newbie here...safety vs. comfort with 7 kids!!

We got a sweet deal on a used school bus to use for our blended family of 9. We have 7 kids between us, ranging in age from 21 down to 4. My husband is a former Paramedic and is all about safety. I want to ride in comfort, but he doesn't want to compromise safety while traveling. Can anyone direct me to some pictures or ideas of how we can maintain both while doing this conversion?

Is it possible to replace the bus seats with captains chairs that have the seat belts as part of the chair? At least for me and the older kids....

Any help is appreciated!

I have three Flexsteel chairs in my bus that we took out of a conversion van you have to try to find the van that didn't come with the shoulder belt Style otherwise you have to figure out how to hook that up to the side of the bus, my seats came with just the lap belt connected to the seat and we just mounted the swivel carrier right to the floor they work great,

You can also look for seats out of a turtle shell bus (van chassis with a fiberglass chassis.). I found some pretty cheap on Craigslist. I had a turtle shell bus at the time but now I'm going to mount them in my bus. As a plus, i have the handicap version which means the are hinged. Not to mention, certified.
