Ah, but that requires the bus to be in motion. Mine is quite stationary and I don't anticipate moving it any time soon.

The fan I referenced arrived today. I'll need some hinges and some plumbing straps to mount it, as well as a DPDT switch for reversibility. The hinges will be so that I can lower the fan in order that I may open/close the hatch. Some wing bolts and I'm in like Flint.

Decided against the hinges. The fan shroud measures 24" at the mounting tabs. The aluminum used is quite substantial, so I elected to use some angle brackets and some thumb-screws and wing-nuts to mount this in the escape hatch opening.
