OMG I got a bus!!!

I am officially the proud, giddy owner of a 1996 Internatiinal Thomas DT466E!

I called up my spouse and had a fun conversation:
Me: guess what?!
A: what?
Me: we now own a bus!
A: long pause... What?!
Me:we got a bus!
A: you got a bus?!?
Me: yea! I told you today was the day! You know I've been obsessed with this idea!
A: yea, but I didn't you'd actually go through with it!

So there will be a crawfish boil with beer in Cypress pretty soon for abus work day!
I'm so excited I literally almost peed my pants!

Welcome!, I know the feeling and your wife's response. I drive my bus to work every day two weeks a month, the storagefor the bus is across the street from the office and no problem so far to park behind my house complex.

Good luck and have fun converting, 99% of people don't see the logic on getting the bus. We skoolies do

Isn't telling your spouse just a little bit more exciting than the actual purchase?

Thank you for all of the congrats! Yes for you locals, I will very soon be coming to see your builds and hit you up for help if you are available!

So if you remember, I was asking about some older International Wayne buses. I got more info on this group. There were several that had inspection stickers of 2/17, and they have been on the road this school year and even this year. They have been extremely well maintained so no worries about old gaskets blowing after sitting. An advantage (time wise for me anyways) is that they already have the seats out!
So now I own two of these buses as if this morning! Excellent price, so I can't complain. Got me a small fleet of 3 buses in 2 days. I'm gonna paint the Wayne's first. Get these on the road for the veterinary clinic and then work on the Thomas!
I pick up tomorrow so I'll learn how to post pics and send an update.
