OMG! Somebody save this from the scrap heap!

If I had a way to get this home... and space to park this... and if I could afford a new engine... and if I had some money to just throw at it NOW...

PLEASE! SOMEBODY SAVE THIS BEAUTIFUL BUS!!!

I would LOVE to drive something as sleek and classy as that! Just the emblem on the front is enough to make me wanna anger everyone in the neighborhood by parking it out front while it's being restored.

Re: OMG! Somebody save this from the scrap heap!

I emailed my cousin to ask if it would even be possible to get something that's sat for 20+ years running, and if not, how much a new engine would cost. Since he's the mechanic, he's the one that would have to be willing to get it running. I'll strip out parts and clean up, paint and do any fabrication work. I have yet to hear back, but honestly he doesn't get off work until 5 tonight, so...

My father in law bought a car last year that had sat since about 1990. We drove it onto my trailer (it had a bad brake line). Within 48 hours, it was running like a top. (It is a 1974 Pinto.)
