Opinions About Best Bus

Hi! I'm rather new to this but I was curious about other people's opinions regarding choosing a bus. I'm hoping to get a larger bus so I have a little more room to work with and luckily my mom drove them for years and my ex is a diesel mechanic. Together they are going to help me pick out a bus that will be in good working order.

Nonetheless I'm curious what makes and years people find to be essential for a good skoolie. I've heard a lot of people who have embarked on this say the older models are the best to work with because of the quality going downhill. Not sure if this is actually the case or if they are just being old school about it. I seem to hear a lot about bluebird and internationals. Curious to know what your take on it is.

The Wanderlodge motor home was made by Bluebird and had the distinction of only having one recorded death from a rollover accident in their history of 50 years. In a
school bus you are 60 times safer in an accident than a car or truck. I myself went with a Bluebird because the wife liked it for the two toilets it had on board, your mileage may vary. Bluebird has been around for ever and they have a good track record, mine has the 8.3 Cummins with the MD3060 trans. It's a 1996, I understand the 8.3 was a mechanical engine up until 1998.
