Move the cooktop/range away from the stairway. Very bad location.

Keep it there for all I care. It's a bad location. You can't see that people entering/exiting will risk touching hot pots/pans? Climbing into the bus (and often going out) people will have a tendency to put their hand on top of the range even when no pots are there. Then there's the fact that it is too close to an opening (door/window).

I would also suggest that you keep it 6" from side walls for safety reasons, but that's the former Kitchen & Bath Designer training in me popping out.
