Overhang

I'm considering a shorty bus as a tow vehicle for my club ford racecar and closed trailer with tools (trailer weight of car+tools+trailer = ~3500lbs). Any issues with the trailer 'driving the bus' when some buses have considerable overhang past the rear wheels of the bus? I see shorties with very little overhang but I might like the extra space of a half bus which does have some considerable amount of overhang. Any advice is appreciated!

I opted for a shuttle bus. I haul my car trailer often with utv,atv. And many times with a car or truck on the trailer. Plus I think it looks better than a skoolie, almost RV looking.

if you were flat towing a car, the overhang might be a problem dragging the front end of the car as you turn. with a trailer, that should be no problem.

buses are wider, you might like a longer neck on the trailer... a bit longer than half the width of the bus.

not trying to highjack op's post. i plan on flat towing a 98 chevy lwb truck from IL to VA, i bought a tow bar and im in the process of fabricating a hitch. whats the best set up. i have a 10' tail.

My bus has my car trailer behind it 95% of the time. If it didn't have the beaver tail on the trailer, I would say there is never an issue. As it is now, it drags quite a bit into alot of entrances a such. More annoying then anything.

I was bored this winter so I am in the process of building a dedicated trailer for the bus, just to haul my jeeps around. I was going to post it up later in my bus build. But here is a sneak peek.

No more tail dragging. I also made the tongue longer, so now I can jack knife the trailer behind the bus. For when I get into those tights spots.
